Privacy notice
Draft — complete with your business details and review before launch.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, password (stored only as a secure hash), county/town, and optionally phone.
- For dealers: business name, address, website and RFD number, so we can verify your registration.
- Your ads, the photos you upload (with location data removed), and messages sent through the site.
- Basic technical data such as IP address for security (e.g. to block repeated failed logins).
We do not ask private users for firearm certificate numbers and we do not keep a record of what firearms you own beyond the ads you choose to post.
Who sees it
Your display name, town/county and (if you choose) phone number appear on your ads. When someone messages you, we pass their email to you and yours to them only when you reply. Dealer business details are public. We may disclose information to the police where required by law.
Your rights
You can edit your details at any time from your account page, and ask us to close your account and delete your data.
